I am pleased to be able to say that I am a Fredericksburg native. This gives me a very unique perspective of the areas in and around Fredericksburg as well as expert insight into its growth over the past 3 decades. I started my real estate career as a licensed realtor in 1986, and decided very early on that I wanted a diversified background of solid experience. It was very important to me to learn from proven real estate professionals, so I apprenticed with The Silver companies in many different aspects of real estate including: (1) rental property management, (2) sales and marketing, (3) financing and conversions, and (4) subdivision development and sales. In 1991, I obtained my Florida Real Estate License in order to expand my knowledge of the east coast real estate market.
In 1992, foreseeing a downturn in the real estate market, I became the Vice-President of Platinum Enterprises, Inc., dba Platinum Auto World, and ventured into the Automotive Sales Industry. Although I continued to actively pursue real estate investment opportunities, I devoted the next 14 years to successfully launching Platinum Auto World, which eventually became Fredericksburg’s (and the surrounding area’s) highest volume independent Auto Dealer. The income generated by Platinum Auto World was used to launch many real estate investment opportunities and gave me the opportunity to help run over 20 real estate investment LLC’s.
By 2005, the real estate holdings and investment portfolio had grown to more than 20 Million in rental property, including a multimillion dollar land inventory. As Vice President, I began to be more actively involved in all aspects of the rental property management LLC’s in which I was vested.
Once again seeing major changes coming in the real estate market, I turned my attention to aggressively learning about the real estate auction industry. I joined a prominent Florida based auction company and enjoyed success while learning in one of the worst real estate markets in the country. Seeing the drastic downturn of the economy through the eyes of this industry prompted me to sublease the auto dealership and concentrate on my real estate holdings.
The past two years were very challenging, which caused me to be creative in every aspect of real estate. One example of this was creating an aggressive proposition which I successfully negotiated with the financial institutions vested in my real estate holdings, which recalibrated loans with them. This enabled me to offer this experience to both individuals and investors alike, who are facing similiar challenges in today’s market.
Today I have turned my attention back to Virginia and want to help spark its market recovery. My knowledge and experience in all facets of the real estate market makes me a key ingredient to the success of your real estate transaction.
